With more than 20 years’ experience within the health care industry as a clinician, quality & safety service improvement lead, and patient experience and clinical governance specialist – Kim is well founded to drive local and organisation wide projects to improve processes and systems which impact on the customer experience and safe delivery of care. She is ab passionate advocate for the development of ‘Connected Care’ frameworks empowering patients, consumers and family members to co-design their ‘Care-Journey’ enabling organisations and health service providers to improve the patient experience, leading to advanced health outcomes.

Kim is a trained Health Service Improvement Leader achieving Advanced Patient Safety Training with the Institute of Healthcare Improvement (IHI) in 2016. She is an expert in Clinical Governance, Safety, Quality and Risk Frameworks including the establishment of consumer advisory committees and development of Co-design initiatives; Safety and Quality Measurement and reporting; and Quality Assurance processes.

Kim is committed to lifelong learning with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and post graduate qualifications in both Critical Care Nursing and Business Management (Health); and continues her knowledge journey as a student in a Master’s Management Program.

Kim is regarded by her peers as a passionate advocate for patient safety and as a thought leader in Quality Improvement, Re-design and Innovation, which is endorsed by her 2017 engagement as a sessional lecturer in ‘Quality Management in Health’ for QUT.
